Notte Velata was composed as an answer to a question Lucia Altieri asked herself in 1991: what does silence smell like? The answer came slowly, over three years of working with oud sourced from a single Cambodian supplier and a labdanum absolute she had kept sealed since her time in Grasse. The result is a fragrance that does not announce itself. It settles. It stays.
